CHURCHVILLE, VA – Wilma Jean North, 81 of Churchville, VA formerly of Alderson, WV passed away Thursday, March 25, 2021 at the Shenandoah Nursing and Rehab, Fishersville, VA. Born January 1, 1940 in Doran, VA she was the daughter of the late Clarence Walter and Ethel Ruth Pinnion Hagy. Jean retired as a manager for the Tastee Freeze in Staunton. She loved going to Bingo, gardening when she was able and going to auctions and yard sales. She was an avid WVU fan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Lee North, daughter, Mary Lou Bland, grandchildren, Tommy T. North, and Heather Ambler, three sisters and a brother. Survivors include four sons, Billy North (Tammy Cramer) of Saginaw, MI, David North (Carmen Gore) of Ronceverte, WV, Wayne North of Staunton, VA, and Gary North (Cheryl) of Churchville, VA, daughter, Kathy Wilson of Fairlea, WV, seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Monday, March 29, 2021 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Hat Defibaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsboro, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Monday at the funeral home.
