Jeffrey S. Meriwether

Jeffrey S. Meriwether "Ranger Jeff", 60, of Renick, WV passed away on Saturday July 14, 2012. Born November 1, 1951 at Bloomington, Indiana, he was the son of Meredith and Barbara Elorett Meriwether, graduated from Union High School in Bloomington and was a US Army Vietnam Veteran, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal; 3 O/S Bars; Combat Infantryman Badge; Vietnam Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Army Commendation Medal. Jeff is survived by his wife, Rebecca Meriwether of Renick; his parents, Meredith and Barbara Meriwether of Bloomington, Indiana; brother, Kevin Meriwether of Greenwood, Indiana; and a half brother, David Butler of Texas. There will be no local services. Arrangements are being made for inurnment in Arlington National Cemetery at a future date.
