Jennifer Dawn Blankenship Harrah, 53, of 703 W Jackson St, Covington, VA died Saturday, December 31, 2011 at her residence. She was born December 15, 1958 at Frankford, WV and was a factory worker for 15 years and then was self employed as owner of Harrah's Suntana and Harrah's Beauty Salon. Jennifer was very caring and dedicated to helping people and was a member of First Christian Church in Covington. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Benny and Ethel Sturgell and is survived by her husband, Pat Harrah and her puppy dog, McClaina; her parents, Hank and Lucille Blankenship of Cherryville, NC; brother, Jeff Blankenship and wife, Debbie of Renick, WV; sisters, Cindy Hager and husband, Donald of Crouse, NC and Carlene Edwards and husband, Vincent of Topanga, CA; a special sister-in-law, Phyllis Linn of Columbus, OH; brothers-in-law, Max Harrah of Asbury, WV and Paul Harrah and wife, Arlene of Wickenburg, AZ; nieces, Chelsa Blankenship, Olivia Hager, Audra Hager, Valerie Edwards, Cassidy Edwards, Sonya Burlingham, Melissa Garrett and Charlene Kaminski; nephews, Garret Hager, Tyler Edwards, Shannon Harrah, Shawn Harrah, Jedidiah Harrah and Michael Harrah and two god daughters, Kris Blankenship of Port Richey, FL and Heather McKay of Manassas, VA. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 5, 2012 at First Christian Church, 213 E. Fudge St. Covington, VA with Minister Bill Gilliland officiating. Interment will follow in Rosewood Cemetery at Lewisburg, WV.
