HINES, WV – Jeressa Annalee Jackson, 84, of Hines, WV went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at home peacefully. Born April 16, 1934 at Hines, WV she was the daughter of the late Walter and Elberta Tucker Drennen. Jeressa was a lifelong member of the Hines Missionary Baptist Church where over the years she held a number of offices including: Sunday School Teacher, BYF Leader, Choir member and Pianist. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Rev. Carl Jackson, daughter, Jewell Marie Jackson, brothers, Clarence and Jesse Drennen, brother in law, Bob Ray, sisters in law, Thelma Drennen and Jeanette Drennen and two great grandchildren. Survivors include a brother Cecil & Gracelene Drennen, sister Marie Ray, sister in law, Florence Drennen, sons, Wayne & Dottie Jackson of Newport News, VA, Dale & JoAnn Jackson of Lewisburg, WV and Richard & Debbie Jackson of Rockwell, NC, eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Friday, April 20, 2018 at the Hines Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Hines Missionary Baptist Church, Hines, WV with Rev. Gary Eisenman and Rev. Kermit Hunter Jr. officiating. Entombment will be at the Rosewood Cemetery Mausoleum, Lewisburg, WV. A celebration of Jeressa’s life will follow with a meal at the Morgan Funeral Home, Dining Room.
