Jerry Douglas Holcomb

Jerry D. Holcomb, 70, of Alderson passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea. Born October 7, 1944 at Alderson, he is the son of the late Charles Luther and Violet Marie Shires Holcomb and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by his wife, Layanna Holcomb; brother, Cary Holcomb and sisters, Sheila Austin and Brenda Delatorre. Jerry was a long-haul truck driver and loved his country, fishing, hunting, flea markets, pickles and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Jason Liptay and wife, Melanie, Bethanie Quire and husband, Peter and Jeri Martin; sisters, Juanita Miller, Paula Wygal, Nora Sue Holcomb and Ronda Martin; brothers, Charles Luther Holcomb II(Pat) and Jimmy Holcomb, twelve grandchildren, special companion, Esther Aleshire and special friend, Donnie Trout.Service:2:00 PM SundayJune 7, 2015Morgan Funeral HomeVisitation:6 t0 8 PM SaturdayJune 6,2015Morgan Funeral Home
