Jerry S. Pippen

CRAWLEY, WV – Jerry S. Pippen, 82 of Crawley, WV passed away Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born May 7, 1941, in his grandmother’s home in Elysian Fields, TX, he was the son of the late Charles and Lavada Pippen. Jerry was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church and a US Navy Veteran.  After fifty plus years as an Alaskan Bush Pilot and lodge owner, he retired in 2013. In 2022 he began talks with his good friends, Don, and Susan Huber to become grounds and facilities manager with his wife at the Greenbrier Christian Retreat which he did March 1, 2022.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Zelda Ann Pippen DeCambra and brother, Billy R. Pippen.

Survivors include his loving, devoted wife of over forty years, Karen King Pippen, son, Jerry Spencer Pippen Jr (Denise) of Sunrise Beach, TX, daughter, Melisa Ann Pippen Roller (Eric) of Deland, FL, sister, Barbara Nell Pippen Henry of Phoneix, AZ, grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann Pippen, Jessica Mae Pippen, Holden St. Aubyn, Rachel Griffith, Ryan and Reid Pippen and Claudia Roller, two great grandsons, Tyler and Jacob, and special friends, Don and Susan Huber, several nieces, nephews, cousins, as well many extended family and friends.
