Jesse Darrell Erskine

RONCECEVETE, WV – Jesse Darrell Erskine, 80 of Ronceverte, WV passed away at the Peyton Hospice house on August 9, 2023, from a long battle with cancer. Born May 13, 1943, in Ronceverte, WV, the was the son of the late Roscoe Madison and Mary Kathryn Morgan Erskine. IN addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters in law, Patricia Erskine, and Susan Erskine.

Survivors include his loving wife of sixty years, Carolyn Mae Elmore Erskine, daughter, Tammy Erskine and fiancé David Ridgeway of White Sulphur Springs, WV, son Jeffrey Erskine and wife Karen of Ronceverte, WV, grandchildren, Jessica Masina of White Sulphur Springs, WV, Brian Kelly and wife Kristen of Clarksburg, WV, Madison Erskine and wife Alyssa of Lewisburg, WV and Lindsey Kessinger and husband Kendall of Covington, VA, great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Rajon, Malik and Haley, his twin sister, Bessie Reed and husband Benjamin of Dublin, VA, Rebecca Kirk and husband Stephen of Ronceverte, WV, brothers Robert and Tony Erskine of Ronceverte, WV special cousin, Phyllis Hoke and husband James of Ronceverte, WV, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Saturday, August 12, 2023, at the funeral home.
