Joann Jones

JoAnn Jones, 78, of Fairlea went to be with the Lord on Monday November 21, 2016 at the Brier Nursing and Rehab in Ronceverte following a long illness.JoAnn was born February 25, 1938 in Coalwood to Blanchard and Narcie (McClary) Davis. And in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-three years, Clarence "Womp" Jones.Left to cherish JoAnns life are her son, Randy Jones of Fairlea, daughter/granddaughter, Gloria Beverage and husband, Josh of Lewisburg; her grandson, Jamie Jones of Kaukauna, Wisconsin; four great grandchildren, Drew and Cooper Beverage, and Adrian and Caiden Jones; her siblings, Donald Davis of Youngsville, NC, Johnny Davis of Mulberry, FL, and Sara Brewster of Plant City, FL; several nieces and nephews; and her lifelong friend, Kay Hardesty of Fairlea.JoAnn was a retired employee of One Valley Bank and held several other jobs in the local area. She lived a good full life, enjoying good times with her husband and friends, including attending WV football games, bowling, golfing, and traveling. She was a caregiver to several relatives and friends for many years.Services will be held at 12:00Noon Saturday November 26, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Gary Baker officiating.Friends may call from 11:00 AM till time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
