John William "Bill" McClintic passed away February 1, 2013 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital after a long battle with cancer. Born January 26, 1936 in Clarksburg, WV, raised in Frankford, WV, he attended West Virginia University and graduated from West Virginia Tech with a BS Degree. In years that followed, Bill worked for the WV Dept of Highways, was Coal and Traffic Coordinator for N&W Railroad, employed by Virginia Iron, Coal and Coke and the Roanoke City Health Department where he retired after 31 years service. He later worked for Walmart as a greeter for over 5 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, John William McClintic Sr. and Naomi Corder McClintic, step-father, Joe Daffin and sister-in-law, Patricia Lewis McClintic.
