John Paul Erskine

LEWISBURG, WV – John Paul Erskine, 75 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2024, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born May 8, 1949, in Ronceverte, WV he was the son of the late Ellery Shanklin Erskine and Dorothy Mae Morgan Erskine. John Paul was retired from The Greenbrier.  He was a member of the New Covenant Sanctuary.  John Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, and digging for ginseng.  He loved all his family and enjoyed talking to people.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Kay Shaver Erskine and a special niece, Debbie Hoke Kirk.

Survivors include his loving wife, Frances G. Mullins Erskine, sister, Phyllis Hoke (James), stepdaughters, Jennifer Woodyard (John) and Jessica Hale, nephew, Jamie Hoke, niece, Amy Nutter (Andy), four step grandchildren, five step great grandchildren, great nieces and nephews, Hayden, and John Luke Hoke, Amick, Andrew and Asher Nutter, many friends and extended family.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2024, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV with Pastors Keith Rasnik, Wes Comer and Rusty Hughes officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 19, 2024, at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Bethel Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Organ Cave.
