John Mack Ray

John Mack Ray Jr., 68, of White Sulphur Springs passed away on Sunday November 13, 2016.Born December 5, 1947 he was the son of the late John M Ray Sr. and Edna Irena Stanley Ray. John worked at the Greenbrier Hotel as a pastry chef for nineteen years, and also worked at the Mayfield House Condo in Palm Beach, FL for eighteen years. He was a member of the Vietnam Veterans Highland Chapter 1072 of White Sulphur Springs.In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by his brother, David H. Ray, close friend Daniel Iddings, and three nieces and one nephew. Survivors include three sisters, Nina and Archie Morrison of Iron Gate, VA, Shirley Skiles and Wayne of Alderson, and Elizabeth and David Canada of White Sulphur Springs; nephew, Charles Morrison; two nieces, April Palmer and Janet Gordon; friends, Dennis Lockhart, Angela Caldwell, Thomas Canfield, Darlene Morgan; and all of his veteran friends.Family and friends will gather together for a memorial service at 1:30 PM Saturday November 19, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.
