Johnny Winfrey Anderson Sr.

RONCEVERTE, WV – Johnny Winfrey Anderson Sr., 74 of Ronceverte, WV passed away Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home surrounded by his family. Born December 29, 1946 in Lewisburg, WV he was the son of the late Melvin Lee “Pete” Anderson and Carrie Irene Zimmerman Anderson. Johnny loved hunting, farming, talking to people, playing and singing gospel music. He enjoyed the outdoors and animals, especially his dog, Sabrina. He loved the Lord and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Christina Marie Miller and a brother, Melvin “Andy” Anderson. Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-six years, Jeanie Brill Anderson, sons, Michael Anderson (Donna) of Second Creek, WV and John Anderson Jr. (Tina) of Ronceverte, WV, brothers, Garnet Anderson (Anna) of Lewisburg, Lewis Anderson (Bethel) of White Sulphur Springs, WV, sisters, Margaret Bittenger (Robert) of Lewisburg, WV, Connie Ray of Ronceverte, WV, Betty Anderson of Winston-Salem, NC, two grandchildren, Ashley Cornelius (John) and Brent McClung, one great grandson, James Cornelius, several nieces and nephews and a good friend, Charlie of Tennessee. Graveside service will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Joey Morgan officiating.
