Joyce Gadd

ORGAN CAVE, WV – Joyce Gadd, 83 of Organ Cave, WV passed away Monday, September 2, 2019 surrounded by her loving family at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.  Born March 15, 1936 at Ronceverte, WV she was the daughter of the late Lucy Briggs Zimmerman.  Joyce along with her late husband, Clarence Gadd co-owned and operated Gadd’s IGA Stores.  In addition to her mother and husband, she is preceded in death by sisters, Barbara Thacker, Joan Myers and Betsy Boyce.  Survivors are two daughters, Sabrina Morgan (Tony) of Organ Cave, WV and Marcheta McMillion of Alderson, WV, brother, Emory “Spade” Zimmerman (Leona) of Floyd, VA and sister, Janet Brown of Lewisburg, WV, grandchildren, Nicole Dickerson (Jody), Tonia McCoy (Tommy), Jacob Kearns, Sunny Sanchez and Dusty Morgan, great grandchildren, Maggie and Abbie McCoy, Madison and Macie Dickerson and Aiden and Keegan Sanchez, sister in law, Mary Martinez, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Gary Baker officiating.  Entombment will follow in the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Wednesday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy should be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital – 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at www.stjude.org/donate.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
