Lena M. Anderson

Lena M. Anderson, 84, of Fairlea finished her journey on this earth and went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2013 following a long battle with Alzheimers. Born December 14, 1928, she was the wife of the late Garnett L. Anderson and the daughter of the late Harrison Preston and Francis Estep Steagall. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Garnett "Butch" Anderson and brothers, Malcomb, Sebert and David Steagall. She is the loving mother of Larry Anderson of Fairlea, Brenda Glover and husband, Steve of Covington, VA and Nancy Hunter and husband, Ernie of Rupert and is also survived by grandchildren, Kisha Proffitt, Crystal Demonbreun, Heather Humphreys, Christopher Hunter, Darren Hunter, Larry Anderson Jr. and Robin Anderson; 16 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; brother, Denny Steagall and sisters-in-law, Patricia and Martha Steagall. Services will be 2:00 PM Monday, September 16, 2013 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Youel Altizer officiating. Graveside services and burial will follow in Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM Monday at the Funeral Home.
