Lewis Sterling Thomas

ALDERSON, WV – Lewis Sterling “Lew” Thomas, 81 of Alderson, WV went Home to be with his Savior, Jesus Christ, Wednesday, January 1, 2020.  Born July 26, 1938 at Alderson, WV he was the son of the late Lewis and Bertie Susan Ayers Thomas.  After realizing he was a mere sinner as all who are born into this world, he accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior in February 1958, becoming a Child of God.  He was a member of the Griffith Creek Baptist Church.  He was retired from The Greenbrier as a Custodian.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Ann Montgomery Thomas, an infant son, sister: Geneva Bailey and brother: John Thomas.  Survivors include his loving wife of eighteen years, Corliss Thomas, sons: David Michael Thomas of Alderson, WV and Joshua James Martin (Stevi) of Rainelle, WV, daughters: Serena Mae Wagner (Michael) of Center, ND, Tammie Louise Alexander (Greg) of Kodak, TN and Andrea Genelle Adkins of Alderson, WV, brother: Billy Gene Thomas (Brenda) of Talcott, WV, and his grandchildren: Shawn, Sarah, Steven and Samual Wagner, James Adkins, Joseph Parsons and Trinity Martin, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Monday, January 6, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastors Audie Sorg, Nathan Smith, and Randy Burdette officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lewis Cemetery, Grassy Meadows, WV.  Visitation will be 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, January 5, 2020 at the funeral home.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
