Linda Lou Judy Persinger, a beloved figure known for her spirited personality and steadfast kindness, passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 81 at the Lewisburg Healthcare Center in Ronceverte, West Virginia. Born on March 15, 1945, in Blue Sulphur Springs, WV, Linda lived a life rich in both personal and professional accomplishments, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew her.
Linda dedicated over thirty years of her career to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources (WVDHHR), serving with distinction as an Economic Supervisor. Her commitment to public service was marked by an unwavering dedication to helping others and a keen understanding of economic matters that greatly benefited her community.
Known for her sassy and outgoing nature, Linda was a true spitfire when she chose to be—never shy about expressing her thoughts and feelings, often without a filter. Despite this, she was gentle, kind, and loving to those close to her, balancing her fiery spirit with a heart full of warmth. Her presence was felt strongly in every room she entered, and she was loved for her authenticity and honesty.
Linda’s passions extended beyond her career. She found joy in square dancing and bowling, enjoyed walking the track to keep active, and had a deep love for her flowers, particularly her cherished rosebushes. These hobbies brought her peace and happiness, reflecting a life that embraced both activity and beauty.
She is survived by her husband, Guy Persinger; her daughter, Teresa Aultz and son-in-law Don; her sisters Wanda Dykeman (Darald), Jane Johnston (David), and Debbie Sponaugle; her cherished grandson, Sam Aultz; her brother-in-law, Bobby Falls; several nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Violet Judy, and her sisters, Allie Falls and Lovey Kishpaugh (Pete).
Family, friends, and all who were touched by Linda are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on June 2, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, followed immediately by a funeral service at 2:00 PM at Morgan Funeral Home, located at 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901. These gatherings will provide an opportunity to celebrate Linda’s life, remember her unique spirit, and honor the legacy she leaves behind. Burial will follow the service in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV.
Linda's life was a testament to strength, love, and individuality—traits that will continue to inspire those who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
