On October 2, 2025 Lucille Elizabeth McMillion (nee Williams) passed away.
Lucille is survived by her son, Steve (Donna); granddaughter Jill Reitzer (Ed) and grandson, Ryan McMillion (Jen) and great granddaughter Brooke; son, Rod, (the late Debra); sister, Joan Bruffey Lauenstein, (the late Norman); sister-in-law, Freda Oney Williams; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Singleton Williams; numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Lucille is preceded in death by her husband, Ovid Jr.; her parents Tuck and Louella Williams; her sister, Rusty Dubroka (Paul) & her brother, Roy Lee Williams. Dear friend to Phyllis Boyce Taylor; Jo and Terry Clutter and Mike Cochran.
Lucille was born in Frankford, WV to Tuck and Louella Williams on Dec. 21, 1929. Ovid and Lucille attended Renick HS and graduated in 1947. Lucille attended Greenbrier College for Women and taught public school for 2 years in WVA. Lucille and Ovid relocated to Essex, Md in 1955. Ovid worked 36 years for BethSteel; Lucille worked in banking; accounting at Martin-Marietta and for years did personal tax returns. In 1992 they retired and relocated back to Renick. For 4 years they took care of Lucille’s mother, Louella. For 28 years Lucille volunteered to manage all phases of the Morning Side Cemetery in Renick.
Funeral Service will be held at Connelly’s Funeral Home in Essex, 300 Mace Avenue on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 at 7 pm. Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, October 8th, 2025 from 2 - 4, and 6 - 8 pm. Graveside services and interment will be held at Morningside Cemetery, in W.Va, on Saturday, October 11th, 2025 at 10 am. Graveside arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home of Lewisburg,
