Madalyn Marjorie Poff Kenney

LEWISBURG, WV - Madalyn Marjorie Poff Kenney, 97, of Lewisburg, WV went home to be with her Lord, Thursday, January 26, 2017 at her home. Born January 8, 1920 at Garten, WV she was the daughter of the late Montague Gordon and Catherine Ellen Jones Poff. Madalyn was a longtime member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church. She had a God given talent with the ability to play any musical instrument by ear. She was a loving mother whose favorite quote was "God is Good!" In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband James William Kenney, one sister, Helen Thomas and three brothers, Jennings, Carl and Paul Poff. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Rita Arritt and husband Michael of Lansing, WV, Gary Treadway and wife Linda of Forest, VA, James C. Kenney of Beckley, WV, Beverly Harless and husband Ronnie of Grassy Meadows, WV, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, a loving caregiver, Judy Treadway and numerous other dedicated caregivers.Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, January 29, 2017 at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Kermit Hunter Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Sunday at the funeral home.
