Margaret Ruth Myles

November 18, 1937 — May 15, 2021

Margaret Ruth Spade Myles of Lewisburg passed away on May 15th, 2021 surrounded by her family who loved her endlessly. Ruth was born in Pathfork, Kentucky on November 18, 1937 to the late Ray and Hazel Spade. Ruth, also known as Nana to many, was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was just as dedicated to her work where she was a business entrepreneur and accountant. In 1986 she was handed a diagnosis that most people would not survive, but Nana never gave up, never conceded to her disability, and most importantly lived her life to the absolute fullest. Her greatest love was for her children and grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Joe Myles, her son, Stephen Myles, two brothers, Ray Jr and Charles, a sister, Phyllis Hollandsworth, brother-in-law, LT Lewis and sisters-in-law, Norma, and Carol Spade. Left behind to cherish her memory are her daughters, Susie Myles of Lewisburg, Donna Kirby and her husband Jamie of Grassy Meadows, daughter-in-law, Lynn Myles of Renick, grandsons John Hunter Kirby (Leah) of Lewisburg and Logan Patterson of Norfolk, Virginia, granddaughters Rachel Kirby (Jacob) of Grassy Meadows and Amber Robinson (Jerry) of Williamsburg, Virginia and great grandson, Gavin Robinson of Williamsburg, Virginia, two brothers, Tommy and Bruce Spade and a sister, Mary Francis Lewis, brother-in-law, Jack Hollandsworth, and sister-in-law, Pauline Spade all of Middleboro, Kentucky and several nieces and nephews. Nana had a desire to live this life to the absolute fullest and her love gave happiness to so many people and witnessing the unconditional love people gave her was what made it all worth it. Her strength, grace and determination were something you only read about in story books. Nana had a host of wonderful caregivers over the years with Mary Withrow caring for her for over 30 years. Services will be held on Saturday May 22nd, 2021 at Morgan Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:00 Noon with a funeral service beginning 12:00 Noon, with Reverend Rick Brown officiating. Flowers made her the happiest! In her memory the family would like to fill the sanctuary with beautiful flowers of any kind. We will be following COVID-19 recommendations and ask everyone to wear a mask. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Morgan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
