Martin "Bo" Dahmer, 86, of Lewisburg passed away Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea. "Bo", as he was lovingly called, was a devoted husband and father.He is survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Mary Rosana Honaker Dahmer. Bo and Mary met one another in April 1950 at the Caldwell Presbyterian Church and later married on February 18, 1952.Bo is also survived by their children, Steve Martin Dahmer and wife, Martha of Kissimmee, FL., and Linda Dahmer Boggs and husband, Phillip of Lewisburg.Bo served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict as a Military Police Escort until July 18, 1953. He continued his career as a Diplomatic Chauffeur for the Greenbrier Hotel and Resort, transporting many political leaders and celebrities for fifty-seven years. He enjoyed farming, hunting, and gardening, and has given many simple words of wisdom.Bo is also survived by a brother, Chester Yates; and a sister, Helen Dahmer Musser.He is preceded in death by his parents, Martin Van Buren Dahmer and Mamie Harvey Yates Dahmer; siblings, Lucille Dahmer Farren, Leonard Yates, Stella Blackhurst, and Thelma Dahmer Quick.Services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday April 8, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Stuart Farley officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery at Lewisburg.Friends may call from 1:00 PM till time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peyton Hospice House.
