Maxine Williams

LEWISBURG, WV – Mary Maxine Williams, 87 of Lewisburg, WV went to be with Jesus, Friday, December 22, 2023, at the Peyton Hospice House. Born October 29, 1936, in Lewisburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thaddeus and Annie Mae Gertrude Carter Andrews. Maxine was a member of the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and had retired from The Greenbrier as a Housekeeper.  She also worked for many families in the area cleaning homes.  Maxine loved helping people and traveling.  Her biggest passion was her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harry Abbot Williams.

Survivors include her two daughters, Pamela G. Trimmer, and Darlene Denise Hickman (Perry), brothers, Bryant O. Cyrus Sr. (Mary), and Anthony Andrews, sisters, Margie Law, Gloria Crump, special sister, Wanda Hartman, grandchildren, Michael, Ashley, Keshara, Britton, Cedric, Andrew and Matthew, great grandchildren, Alijah, Adra, Kingston, Kaleiana, Juelz, Harmony, Justus, Tiyell and Ariyah, several nieces, and nephews.

Homegoing service will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 30, 2023, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, Lewisburg, WV with Rev. Greg Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of the service Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV.
