Maynard Leon Anderson

Maynard L. Anderson, 86, of Caldwell passed away Saturday, May 7, 2016 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.Born November 29, 1929 at Lewisburg, he was the son of the late Ira Vern and Nellie Rae Anderson and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Lou Mabry Anderson.Maynard was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War following which he worked at Greenbrier Dairy in Lewisburg and when it closed he worked for Hercules and retired from Fairlea Exxon. While working these jobs, he was farming and continued farming into retirement. Survivors include his daughter, Mitzi Hunter of Rupert; sons, Kent Anderson and wife, Teresa of Maxwelton and Joe Anderson of Caldwell; grandchildren, Crystal Dixon and husband, Justin of Maxwelton and Nathaniel Hunter of Rupert.Graveside services and burial will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg. Visitation will be from 6 to 8PM Monday May 9, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peyton Hospice House, 1265 Maplewood Ave, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
