Micah Gilkeson

LEWISBURG, WV – Micah Charles Ray Gilkeson, 29 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021 at his home. Born August 6, 1991 in Ronceverte, WV he was the son of Doug and Kim Gilkeson of Lewisburg, WV. Micah worked as a CNA, where he was kind and compassionate with his residents. He was a particularly good athlete especially playing soccer. Micah loved to work out and spend time with his nieces and nephews. He most recently attended the New Beginnings Church in St. Albans, WV. Micah fought addiction for many years and had went to rehab several times. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Charles Gilkeson and Nola Hanshew, maternal grandparents, Dorris “Boots” Hylton and Freda Hylton and his best friend, Brandon “Bookie” Ballard. Including his parents, he is survived by a son, Rylan Crookshanks of Ronceverte, WV, brother, Meshach Gilkeson (Katlin) of Lewisburg, WV, sisters, Melish Gilkeson of Lewisburg, WV, Malaysia Gilkeson (Tyler Hylton) of Ronceverte, WV, half-sisters, Erica Gilkeson of Statesville, NC, and Megan Jenkins of Mulvane, KS, nieces and nephews, Michael, Alexia, Haiden, Holden, Hunston, Kailaini, Kamdrix, Krewzden, Ronan and Logan. Memorial service will be 6:00 PM, Friday, April 9, 2021 at the Rhema Christian Center, Davis Stuart Road, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service Friday at the Church. We will be following COVID-19 regulations and request guests wear a mask and maintain social distancing.
