Minnie Lee Harris, born Minnie Lee Pack on May 8, 1932, in Streeter, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at age 94 on July 7, 2026, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Her long and full life was marked by kindness, resilience, and deep devotion to her family.
Minnie was the beloved daughter of the late Ralph Pack and Lydia Johnson Pack. She grew up in the close-knit community of Streeter, where the values of family and hard work were instilled in her from a young age. These values remained constants throughout her life and defined her role as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend.
Minnie shared her life with her late husband, Dallas Harris Sr . Their partnership was a testament to loyalty and mutual support, and together they raised a loving family, nurturing each member with gentle strength and unwavering care. She is fondly remembered by her children: sons DH Harris (Deborah) and Ralph Harris, and daughters Janice Williams, Iris Harris, and Mary Ann Staples (Rob). Her brother, Delso Pack (Martha), survives her, carrying forward the bonds of family and shared memories.
The joy of family continued as Minnie became a cherished grandmother to Corey Staples (Gina), Tyler Staples, Rebekah Harris (Joseph Rodriguez), Derek Harris (Areial Clark), Bayleigh Harris, and Kaylin Harris. Six great-grandchildren and three bonus great-grandchildren. Each of her grandchildren was a source of immense pride and love, and her presence in their lives will leave an enduring legacy.
Minnie’s life was also touched by the loss of dear ones who preceded her in death, including her parents, her husband Dallas Harris Sr., her son-in-law John R. Williams, and her daughter-in-law Jodi Harris. She is also preceded in death by eleven siblings. Their memories remained close to Minnie's heart.
