Nanette Wood Skaggs

LEWISBURG, WV – Nanette Wood Skaggs, 72 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Monday, May 27, 2024, at the Peyton Hospice House surrounded by her family and friends. Born August 5, 1951, in Cleveland, OH she was the daughter of the late Luther Edmond Wood Jr. and Marian Gladwell Wood. Nanette loved taking care of her animals and was a Christian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son in law, Gregory Scott Carter and father of her daughter, Rick Skaggs.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Skaggs Carter, brother, Richard Wood (Anne), sister, Terri Wood, nephew, Dane Wood, honorary grandson, Justin Bennett and her two dogs, Poppy, and Ollie.

Funeral service will be held in the chapel of Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 31, 2024, with Pastor Stephen Baldwin officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 AM until the time of the service, Friday at the funeral home.
