Opal Louise Blankenship Stacy

Opal Louise Blankenship Stacy, 82, of Droop Mountain left to be with Jesus on January 27th, 2013. She was born at Spice on January 18th, 1931, daughter of the late Dora Ella Brown and Clinton Simmons. She was preceded in death by her husbands Oral Blankenship & Owen Stacy. She was also preceded in death by an infant sister and brother as well as half-sister and half-brother Evelyn Brown Boggs and Eugene Brown. She is survived by sons Larry (Nancy) Blankenship, and Danny Blankenship, daughter Irma (Lake) Vaughan, 6 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, January 31, 2013 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Rev. Phil Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in Morningside Cemetery at Renick. Visitation with the family will be from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday, January 30 at Morgan Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Pocahontas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary or to Mt.
