Opal Marie Williams, 95, of Caldwell, WV, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at the White Sulphur Springs Center. Born on July 11, 1929, in Beaver, WV, she was the cherished daughter of the late Cecil J. and Bernice Nutter Neil.
Opal was a devoted member of the Caldwell Pentecostal Holiness Church, where her faith and community were central to her life. She was also a loving homemaker who dedicated her life to her family and loved ones.
In addition to her parents, Opal was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ashby Williams; daughters, Marcia Jo Williams and Debra Anders; grandson, Chris McFall; sister, Betty Scholl; and brother, Cecil Neil Jr.
She is survived by her children: Ashby Williams Jr., Keith Williams (Natoma), Karen “Suzie” Richardson (David), Sandra Hall (Timmy), and Libby Morgan (Wayne). Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Kevin Williams, Kendra Smith, Kimberly Weese, Christie Crump, and K.W. Williams; along with eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She is also fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service to celebrate Opal's life will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at the Morgan Funeral Home with Pastor Kenny Baker officiating. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg, WV.
