Orlie Delano Bennett

RONCEVERTE, WV - Orlie Delano Bennett, born February 13, 1943 in Ronceverte, WV to his adoring parents, Echols and Madge Holliday Bennett of Ronceverte. He was accompanied by his devoted wife of 53 years, Dolores Honaker Bennett and his loving family at his time of death, February 3, 2017 at the Massey Cancer Center, Richmond, VA. He has three daughters who love him dearly: Shari Bennett Ellison (Mike), Donna Bennett Beavers (Kris Andres), Tina Bennett Wingard (Brad Barnes) followed by his nine grandchildren, Tara Young, Hayley Brown, Kayla Wingard, Evan Beavers, Hannah Haynes, Savannah Beavers, Elijah Haynes, Brandy Barnes and Dawson Beavers. Orlie also had five great grandchildren, Cali Young, James Young, Derek Brown, Gunner Clendenen and Mason Beavers along with his seven brothers and sisters: Beuford Bennett (Arlene), Diana Propps (Glen) and Manfred Bennett (Linda). The other four will be awaiting Orlie happily at the Pearly Gates of Heaven, Mila Mitchell, Evidene Morgan, Arminta Weikle and Edwin Bennett. Aside from his devotion to work at Sears for 23 years, he loved the outdoors, traveling, fishing, hunting, gardening, his Mountaineers and family vacations, but more than anything he loved his family. He was loved by all for his great sense of humor and genuine kindness to everyone.Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 7, 2017 at the Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Adwell Cemetery, Ronceverte, WV. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 6, 2017 at the funeral home. He will be missed, but will never be forgotten.
