Patricia Anne Brackenrich

Patricia “Pat” Anne Griffith Brackenrich, 82, of Lewisburg WV passed away Friday December the 18 ^th 2020 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center.  Born October 3 ^rd 1938 in Charleston, WV, she was the daughter of the late Carey Rodman Griffith and Frances Prince Griffith. Pat was a member of Lewisburg United Methodist Church.

Pat was an exceptional and dedicated educator.  After teaching for several years, Pat served as principal of White Sulphur Springs Elementary School for 23 years. She loved this position beyond words.  She treasured her staff but her number one priority was always her beloved students, putting their needs above all else.  Upon her retirement in 2003, she continued to serve as a substitute teacher for 12 years.  The number of lives she touched is immeasurable. Pat enjoyed going places and it didn’t matter where or for how long.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Carrington Brackenrich.  Survivors include her three children, David Brackenrich (Kim) of Casper WY, Darlene Weikle (Greg) of Organ Cave WV and Darrell Brackenrich (Kelly) of Lewisburg WV, and sister Pam Griffith Whitt (David) of Roxboro, NC.  Pat’s surviving grandchildren include Chris Brackenrich (Jenn) and Courtney Brackenrich, Ryan Weikle, Trevor (Brooke) Weikle, Taylor (Taylor) Carter and Christian Brackenrich. Pat was also blessed with five great-granddaughters, Lennon and Rowyn Brackenrich, Ella Weikle, and Reagan and Lakyn Carter.  Pat is also survived by her dear nieces, Jan Whitt Parker and family of Hillsborough, NC and Jennifer Whitt Morgan and family, of Youngsville, NC.

Private interment services will be held at Greenbrier Memorial Gardens in Lewisburg.  A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
