Patricia Diane Woods

God used a single instant to take unto Himself the life of a faithful servant and an angel of music, when on November 25, 2011, Patricia "Diane" Woods, peacefully passed into eternity. Diane's life on this side of heaven began on April 3, 1957. She dedicated her life to the Lord at a very early age and remained His faithful, effective and diligent servant. Diane was a life long member of Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church in Lewisburg. In addition to being known and received as a wonderful minister of music, she served as the president of the choir, Sunday School Superintendent and teacher, treasurer, and member of the Pastor's helpers and other committees. She was also the president of the Heritage Choir. In addition, she used her God given voice to assist others in their moments of grief and celebration. Diane is the daughter of Catherine and Frank Woods. who preceded her in death. She was compassionately reared by James and Nellie Chambers who loved her unconditionally and also preceded her in death. Two infant siblings, Anna and Raymond Woods, died before her birth. Diane is survived by four brothers and their spouses, Mason Brown (Wanda) of Romulus, Michigan, Richard Brown, Sr. (Bertha) of Lewisburg, West Virginia, Frank Woods Jr. of 'Ft, Worth, Texas, and Rev. Jeff C, Woods (Pattie) of Nitro. West Virginia. Her passing is also mourned by her special and favorite Aunt, Elaine Weldon, of Lewisburg. She is also survived by Ms. Helen Wiley, a maternal aunt. Diane's passing will leave a void blessed with wonderful memories in the lives of Mary (Kathy) Brown and Richard Brown, Jr., Christi Woods and Jennifer (Woods) Ayers, to whom she wac; a caring, thoughtful, wonderful, humorous, and nuturing aunt. Although they are too numerous to list. she is survived by a plethora of nephews, ncices, cousins, aunts and uncles by marriage, and friends. Diane always thanked God for her family, friends, voice, and opportunities to serve in His name. The celebration of Diane's life will be held at Mt. Tabor Baptist Church on Wednesday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m., with the Rev. Ronald Sherrod officiating. Visitation will commense one hour prior to the service. Diane will be interred next to her beloved Aunt "Sis" and Uncle "Boots" at Greenbrier Memorial Cemetery.Service:2:00 pm WednesdayNov. 30, 2011Mt.
