Patsy Burns

LEWISBURG, WV - Patsy Dillon Burns, 87, went to live with the Lord on December 22, 2024.  She was born on January 29, 1937, in Ronceverte, WV to parents Marie Brown Deaver and Basil Dillon.

Patsy graduated from Greenbrier High School in Ronceverte in 1955.  She worked as a secretary at The Greenbrier for eight years and retired from the United Sates Department of Agriculture in 1996 with 26 years of service.  She was a member of the A.R. Presbyterian Church in Fairlea, WV as well as a member of the Tri-City CEOS Club and the Ronceverte Red Hat Club.   Patsy loved spending time with her family.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 49 years, W.G. “Sonny” Burns.  She is survived by two daughters Karen Callen of Lewisburg, WV and Cynthia Vodenik (Scottie) of Laurinburg, NC; son William G. Burns of Felton, Delaware; six grandchildren Steven Callen and Jacob (Courtney) Callen of Morgantown, WV; Mike Burns and Sara Burns of Lewisburg; Caitlyn Heglar and Chad Heglar of Johnson City, TN; four great-grandchildren Marley Hopson, Liam Burns, Collins Callen, and Jacobi Callen; and many nieces and nephews.

A receiving of friends will begin at 12:00 PM on Friday, December 27, 2024, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel in Lewisburg.  The funeral service will immediately follow the visitation at 1:00 PM with Pastor Ron Miller officiating.  The committal service will be held at the Greenbrier Memorial Gardens Mausoleum following the funeral service.
