FAIRLEA, WV - Philip Eugene Vance (75) of Fairlea, WV, passed away on August 21, 2017 at Lewis Gale Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Born on June 1st, 1942 in Ronceverte, WV. He is the son of the late Carl Lambert and Anna Macel Vance. In addition to his parents he was proceeded in death by his brother, Carl Junior Vance, and two sisters, Mary Bland and Darlene Coffman. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Betty Carter Vance. Sons: Mike (Mandy) Vance, Chris (Missy) Vance, and Pat (Jennifer) Vance. Four grandsons: Michael, Justin, Brandon and Ethan Vance. Three granddaughters: Courtney, Emilee, and Brittney Vance. Four step-grandchildren: Myranda, Justin, Jayden and Joevun Robinson. Two great-granddaughters: Sophia and Trinity Vance. Brothers: James “Pretty”, Jerry, George (Linda)of Salem, VA, and Robert Vance. Sisters: Margaret “Midge” Brown and Ramona “Bayo” Graham. Many nieces, nephews and many, many friends. He was a member of the Fairlea Fire Department for 27 years having served as chief and assistant chief. He was a member of the Fairlea ARP Church serving as a Deacon and Elder. He was an active member of the community. He knew everyone he met and was loved by many.   Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 24th, 2017 at Morgan Funeral Home – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Ike Hughes officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. up to the time of the service at 1:00 PM. Burial will follow at the Salem Cemetery in Organ Cave, WV. Memorial Donations may be made to: Fairlea ARP Church, 9364 Seneca Trail S., Ronceverte, WV, 24970 and Salem Cemetery Association, c/o Linda Wilson, 250 Wilson Farm Road, Ronceverte, WV, 24970.
