Rayola S. Cooper

Laura Rayola Cooper, 83, of Muddy Creek Mountain Alderson passed away Saturday, August 31, 2013 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born March 9, 1930 on Muddy Creek Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Andrew J. and Laura Elsie Phillips Surgeon. Rayola was a graduate of Alderson High School and was retired from Kellwood Manufacturing Co. Survivors include her husband, John Henry Cooper; two special nieces, Rhonda Surgeon of Alderson and Brenda McMullen Nolan of Malvern, OH; special grand niece, Brandi Short of Rupert; special grand nephew, Randy Short Jr. of Vago; grandbabies, Brailyn Black of Lewisburg and Sage Short of Vago; special friend, Patty Grafton of Alderson and many nieces and nephews.
