Rebecca Yoder Petre

Rebecca Yoder Petre went home to be with Jesus at 9PM on June 20th, 2022. She was surrounded by her family at the time of passing in Renick, WV.

Born May 17, 1948, to the late Roman and Cora (Hostetler) Yoder in Goshen IN.

She gave her heart to Jesus in her youth.

She moved to Standardsville, VA in 1973 and served for four years at the Faith Mission Home.

She was a faithful child of God until her death and was a member at Renick Christian  Fellowship.

When she was 43 years old, she met the love of her life and on May 1, 1992, she married Mahlon Petre. On that day she became a pastor’s wife, mother to 5 children and grandma.

She embraced us all as her new family and became a pillar in our family and community. She served many with delicious food at her table, became a mother figure and passed out love liberally to everyone that came through her doors. She enjoyed piecing quilts, collecting FireKing glassware, and traveling with her husband.

She was preceded in death by her Parents:Roman and Cora Yoder

Two sisters: Miriam and Ruthann Yoder

Two brothers: Paul and Verlo Yoder

She is survived by her husband

fourteen grandchildren, two great grand babies,

siblings, Fredrick (Sandra) Yoder of Manitowoc WI and Rosemary (David) Yoder of Grantsville MD.

Visitation will be 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, June 24, 2022, at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, June 25, 2022, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Morningside Cemetery, Renick, WV.
