Reece Grimmett

LEWISBURG, WV – Graden Reece Grimmett, 78 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA.  Born October 6, 1940 at Elk Knob, WV he was the son of the late Herman Cline and Delma Athena Massey Grimmett.  Reece was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran.  He was also a proud member of the NRA.  In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Phyllis Ann Fox Grimmett and two brothers, H. Neil Grimmett and Ronald Keith Grimmett.  Survivors include his children, Rodney Reece Grimmett (Katherine) of Boones Mill, VA and Gina Lynn Mitchell (Donald) of Charlottesville, VA, grandchildren, Ryan Reece Grimmett (Emily), Regan Lewis Grimmett, Connor Reece Mitchell, Caden Andrew Mitchell and Cameron Brady Mitchell and a great grandson, Graden Reece Grimmett.  Also surviving are three nephews, Duane, Patrick and Mike Grimmett all of North Carolina. Funeral service will be 2:00, Monday, May 6, 2019 at the Lewisburg Baptist Church with Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating.  Burial with Military Rites will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Sunday, May 5, 2019 at the Morgan Funeral Home, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV.  In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy should be made to the Lewisburg Baptist Church – Building Fund – 246 Grand Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
