Richard Ernst Franke

LEWISBURG, WV – Richard Ernst Franke, 86 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Monday, June 10, 2024, at the Seneca Trail Healthcare Center. Born September 11, 1937, in Huntington, WV, he was the son of the late Bengt and Ellen Wygal Franke.  Richard owned and operated Ben Ellen Greenhouse and Landscaping and Ben Ellen Donuts at the State Fair of WV for many years until his retirement.  He was a member of the Old Stone Presbyterian Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Oretha Faye Franke, stepsons, Earnest Williams and Kenny Dale Williams and a sister, Hedwig Lynn McClung.

Survivors include daughters in law, Jeanne Williams and Deborah Williams, grandchildren, Corey Williams, Casey Williams, Luke Williams (Brie), and Jacob Williams, niece Tawmi Seeley (Jimmy) and great nieces, Elizabeth and Allyson Seeley.

Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the Old Stone Presbyterian Church, 644 Church Street, Lewisburg, WV 24901 with Rev. Julie Olt officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church, Thursday. Burial will follow the service in Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.
