The Good Lord called his son, Richard Allen Tincher Home on April 9, 2026 from the comfort of his earthly home surrounded by his wife and children.
Richard was born March 18, 1948 in Hinton, WV to the late Lonnie & Catherine Wickline Tincher. He was proceeded in death by brothers Bobbie Joe & Eddie and sisters Lou, Sue, and Velma and several nieces and nephews that will delight in his whistling in heaven.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bernice (Hamrick) Tincher, and son Richard (Lori), daughters Angela (Scott) & Jaime (David), nine grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren (by blood, by heart, by joy). He is also survived by his Aunt Ruth and sisters Maxie, Libby, and Ellen, and a brother/nephew Buddy “Hotrod”, and several nieces and nephews, and extended family.
He led a rich life full of God’s love expressed through laughter, tears, playing games at the family table, ramps, and junkyard projects (that baffled seasoned engineers). Though Richard’s departure has left a huge hole for his family, it has been “bondo-ed” and “black taped” with his assurance to everyone that he’s in a better place. He shared with us and anyone with time to sit and chat, his trust in the Lord and his confidence in seeing us again.
A private graveside service will be held on Monday, April 13th at noon at Woodland Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Mark Gillenwater. Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net. Arrangements entrusted to Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
