Robert Lee "Bob" Carter

Robert Lee "Bob" Carter, 84, of White Sulphur Springs passed away Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. He was born October 12, 1931 at Blaker Mills, the son of the late Mark and Bertha Crone Carter. He was their last surviving child having been preceded in death by six brothers, Arbie L., James N., Eugene G., Jesse K., Thomas E. and Gerald M. Carter and four sisters, Etta M. White, Martha V. Thomas, Mary A. Carter and Lillian K. Martin. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a retired timberman. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dolores Bostic Carter; daughters, Marilyn Counts of White Sulphur Springs and Shelia Counts and Bob of White Sulphur Springs; sons, Robert Carter Jr. and Aracely of Richmond, TX and Bryan Carter and Vanessa of Ronceverte; grandchildren, Megan Wykle, Derrick Counts, Kevin, Chris and Ashley Carter and Aysha Carter; step grandchildren, Destanee and Juan Hopkins and Cris Carter; good friend, John Cohenhour and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to send a huge thank-you to the entire staff at White Sulphur Family Care Center for the wonderful care they provided for Bob for the last six years. They were truly angels. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastors, Ralph Hubbard, Sam Haught and Ray Propps officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway. Visitation will be from 6 to 8pm Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the funeral home. Ronald Bostic, Roger Thomas, Rodney Thomas, Anthony DeRosa, Derrick Counts and Ray Propps will serve as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be Sonny Reynolds, David Carter, Bob Counts, Eddie Coleman and J.
