Robert Larry Ewing

God received, in Heaven, a wonderful man; his name is Robert Larry Ewing. He died on July 15, 2026, at Lewis Gale Medical Center in Salem, Virginia. He had a heart attack and battled cancer. He was born in Hico, West Virginia on May 27, 1941, he was 85 years old.

His parents were Euphie William and Kathleen Hypes Ewing. He also had three brothers who preceded him in death: Huling, Ray, and Kenneth Ewing.

He loved going to church. He was a member and a Deacon of the Wild Meadow Baptist Church in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia. He retired, after 39 years, from Westvaco, working as a chemical operator.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing and growing a garden. He was a Veteran, who proudly served his country.

Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Clara Faye Ewing; his children Regina Ewing and Robert Larry Ewing, Jr. (Melissa); his grandchildren Trey and Lance Ewing; and nieces and nephews.

Per his request, there will be no funeral services. His family will have a private celebration of life.
