ASBURY, WV – James Robert Tuckwiller Sr., 92, of Asbury, WV died after a short illness and a long-lived life in his sleep, Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at his home. Robert was a lifelong resident of Greenbrier County and dedicated his life to his family and his farm. Robert was a proud U.S. Army, World War II Veteran who served proudly in the Philippines. He was known by his brothers in the Army as “Souvenir” due to the items he collected over his travel during his service. Robert was most beloved by all that knew him. He was a member of the James Chapel United Methodist Church at Clintonville, WV. Robert retired from the Road Crew with the WV Department of Transportation in 1988. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Stella Legg Tuckwiller, brothers, Homer Lawrence Tuckwiller and Clifton Legg Tuckwiller, son, Kevin Ray Tuckwiller and daughter in law. Terry Tuckwiller. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Nellie Coffman Tuckwiller, children, Bobby Tuckwiller (Judy), Lynn Poage (David), Gary Tuckwiller (Tina), Dennis Tuckwiller, Stella Dodrill (Danny), grandchildren, Katie Kenney (John), Jay Miller (Angee), Jessica Garner (Will), Brent Poage (Cate), Josh Redman, Kayla Tuckwiller, Evan Dodrill (Kristen), Maddie Dodrill, Brandon Tuckwiller and Brianna Tuckwiller, eleven great grandchildren, eighteen nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Saturday, September 29, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Earl Ray Dodrill and Pastor Jessie Pope officiating. Burial will follow in the Coffman Cemetery, Davis Stuart Road, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, September 28, 2018 at the funeral home. Online guestbook can be signed at
