Roger Dale Ramsey

Roger D. Ramsey of Fairlea passed away on Sunday July 10, 2016 at Ronceverte.Born May 24, 1944 at Ronceverte he was the son of the late Guy F. Ramsey and Susie E. Ramsey Wade.Roger worked as a dairy farmer in Greenbrier County and later moved to Maryland to work for the Sears Company than in 2001 he returned to West Virginia.Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Ramsey in 2015 and a sister, Carolyn Legg Shortridge in 2014.Survivors include two sons, James Dale Ramsey of Nottingham, MD and Roger Ramsey Jr. of Cumberland, MD; one stepson, Rusty Byer (Crystal) of Ronceverte; one step granddaughter who was loved very much, Tracee Byer of Ronceverte; a daughter, Linda Miller of Bel Air, MD; sisters, Mary Sue Judy (Rusty) of Williamsburg, Joann Arthur of Altavista, VA, and Becky Ramsey of Lewisburg; brothers, Fred Ramsey (Janet) of Colora, MD, David Ramsey (Debra) of Renick, Rick Ramsey of Frankford, and Kenny Ramsey of Charleston; and several nieces and nephews.A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM on Saturday July 30, 2016 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Jonathan Comer officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till time of the service on Saturday at the funeral homePer his request Roger was cremated.
