Ronda Lea Boothe Mabry, a beloved mother, grandmother, wife, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, in Charleston, West Virginia, following a sudden illness at the age of 62. Born on May 5, 1963, in Richwood, West Virginia, Ronda's life was a shining example of love, dedication, and unwavering loyalty to her family and community.
A graduate of James River High School, Class of 1981, and the Alleghany Regional Hospital School of Radiology Technology, Ronda devoted over twenty-five years to her career as a Mammography Technician at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. Her professional journey also included valued time at Winchester Medical Center and Greenbrier Physicians, where her expertise and caring spirit deeply touched those she served. Throughout her career, Ronda was known for holding everything together with her straightforward, warm, and protective nature—qualities that made her not only a trusted colleague but a cherished presence wherever she went.
Ronda’s vibrant personality was marked by a bubbly and outspoken spirit that could light up any room. She cared deeply for her family, fiercely protective and loyal, especially to her husband of 40 years, Gary Lee Mabry. She found her greatest pride and joy in her children, Katherine Ayers (Logan) and Sarah Honaker (Ryan), and her beloved grandchildren, Harper Ayers, Sawyer Ayers, Asher Honaker, and Kyler Honaker, who brought immense happiness into her life. Family was everything to Ronda, and her loving devotion was a constant source of strength for all who knew her.
Beyond her professional and family commitments, Ronda had a rich tapestry of interests that filled her days with joy and purpose. She delighted in playing piano for her church, a gift she shared generously with her community. Her love for camping allowed her to create treasured memories surrounded by nature and laughter. She enjoyed reading, shopping, and cherished moments of tranquility through naps, embracing life’s simple pleasures with heartfelt enthusiasm.
She was the daughter of Ronald Keith and Carolyn Sue Altizer Boothe and was surrounded by a close-knit family including her brother, Duane Allen Boothe (Lisa); sister, Beverly McCallister (Dan); alongside numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends, Ronda’s presence has left an indelible mark of kindness, warmth, and vibrant energy.
A Celebration of Life to honor Ronda’s beautiful journey will be held on May 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Graystone Baptist Church, located at 249 Skylar Drive, Lewisburg, WV 24901. All who knew her are invited to join in sharing memories and celebrating a life so sincerely lived.
Ronda will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Her legacy of love, strength, and joy will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends. Rest in peace, dear Ronda—you were deeply loved and will be cherished always.
