Rosalee Carrie Spencer

LEWISBURG, WV – Rosalee Carrie Sheppard Spencer, 86 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020 at Stonerise – Lewisburg, formerly The Brier. Born December 11, 1934 in Lewisburg, WV she was the daughter of the late John Walter and Madeline Larcey Hayes Sheppard. Mrs. Spencer was a homemaker. She had attended the Jane’s Chapel United Methodist Church. She loved crafting, sewing and gardening. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Goff “Cotton” Spencer, daughter, Virginia Sue Spencer Miller, brothers, Calvin Howard, John Sheppard Jr. and Glen Sheppard and a sister Viola Sheppard. Survivors include a son, Ronald Wayne Spencer of White Sulphur Sprgins, WV, daughter, Kay Shafer (Steve) of Lewisburg, WV, sisters, Iona Davis (Roy Marshall Dunbar) of Lewisburg, Verna Sheppard of Summersville, WV and Janice Howard Dunbar of Ronceverte, WV, grandchildren, Joey Foster, Steven and Jason Spencer, Kayla Copeland, Michael Miller and Melissa Miller, fourteen great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 26, 2020 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel – 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV. Burial will follow in the Crone Cemetery, Muddy Creek Mountain. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Saturday at the funeral home. We will be following COVID-19 regulations and require guests wear a mask and be mindful of social distancing.
