Roy Melvin Baker

ALDERSON, WV – Roy Melvin Baker, 86, of Alderson, WV passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV. Born January 25, 1932 at Alderson, WV he was the son of the late Sanford Charles and Dulcie Helen Bennett Baker. Roy was a Farm Hand and would help anyone in need. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Rodney Dale Baker and Roger Romaine Baker, sister, Dreama Flo Humphreys and an infant brother. Survivors include one brother, Randolph “Joe” Baker and wife Hazel of Alderson, WV and sister, Lucille, Janice Ramey of Alderson, WV, several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive – Lewisburg, WV with Pastor Gary Baker officiating. Burial will follow in the Welch-Hanger Cemetery, Muddy Creek Mountain. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, Tuesday.
