GREENBELT, MD – Ruby Mae Rhodes Wood, 81, of Greenbelt, MD passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Cadia Healthcare, Silver Spring, MD. Born October 5, 1936 at Liberty, WV she was the daughter of the late Elza Farley and Zanie Elizabeth Lovejoy Rhodes. Ruby was a member of the Sandusky Baptist Church, Lynchburg, VA and had worked as a Nurse. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters. Survivors include her loving husband of 58 years, Bobby Lee Wood, sons, Chuck Wood and wife Janice of Greenbelt, MD and Mark Wood and wife Sherry of Spencer, WV, daughters, Lori Meadows and husband John of Lynchburg, VA and Lisa Wood and fiancé Randy Williamson of Friendly, WV, grandchildren, Jeremy Adkins and wife Shanna, Deidre Doll, Amanda Adkins, Victoria Huizar and husband Adam, Jonathan Meadows, Sydney Light and Nathanial Light, seven great grandchildren, sister, Cora Rhodes and several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be 12:00 Noon, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel, 252 Montvue Drive, Lewisburg, WV with Rev. Mark Wood and Rev. Walter Lee Wood officiating. Burial will follow in the Rosewood Cemetery, Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Tuesday, March 6, 2018 and from 10:00 AM until time of the service, Wednesday at the funeral home.
