Russell Becker, aged 70, passed away suddenly on October 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of devotion, quiet strength, and an unwavering commitment to the family he cherished above all else.
Born in the historic town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, Russell grew up with a strong sense of duty and purpose. As a young man, he proudly answered the call to serve his country, spending three years in the United States Army—a period of service that helped shape his lifelong work ethic and integrity.
In August of 1981, Russell married the love of his life, Priscilla Smith. Together, they built a home grounded in loyalty, laughter, and an enduring partnership that spanned 45 wonderful years. Russell’s greatest source of pride was always his family. He was a deeply devoted father to his two daughters, Jessica Becker (Donnie Forren) and Samantha Becker (fiancé Preston Sanford). His joy only multiplied with the arrival of his grandchildren—his grandson, Michael Becker, and his granddaughters, Bella and Aurora Becker—who brought endless light and laughter to his later years.
Russell was a man who believed in a hard day's work and spent his life providing for those he loved. Over the years, he wore many hats in his community: he greeted the early morning hours delivering newspapers, poured his heart into owning and running the Roadrunner Pizza Restaurant for ten years, and built his own successful business, 4B Distributors. Later in life, he safely guided generations of local children as a school bus driver until his well-earned retirement. No matter the job, Russell approached every endeavor with dedication and grit.
Beyond his work, Russell’s favorite place to be was simply surrounded by his family. Whether sharing stories, enjoying quiet moments at home, or watching his grandchildren grow, his happiest times were those spent with Priscilla, his daughters, and his grandkids.
Russell is survived by his loving wife, Priscilla; his daughters, Jessica (Donnie Forren) and Samantha (Preston Sanford); his three beloved grandchildren, Michael, Bella, and Aurora; his mother-in-law, Norma Smith of Frankford, with whom he shared a close relationship as if she were his own mother; his brother-in-law, Lynne Smith (Brenda Smith) of Lakeville, Minnesota, who he enjoyed hanging out with, especially when canoeing; his sister, Gloria Moore of Union, West Virginia; and a family of nieces and nephews who will miss his presence dearly.
Services for Russell will be held privately at a later time.
