Ruth Carolyn Nicholson

RONCEVERTE, WV – Ruth Carolyn Nicholson, 85 of Ronceverte, WV passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at the Peyton Hospice House, Lewisburg, WV.  Born November 24, 1933 at Richwood, WV she was the daughter of the late Lanty and Mary Lewis Lester.  Ruth retired from Greenbrier Manor as a Nurse’s Aide and was a member of the Greenbrier Valley Church of the Nazarene.  In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Pursley and John Nicholson, daughter, Dorothy Lester, granddaughter, Brittany Pursley and brothers, Charles, Ray, Gene, Lanty Jr., Kenneth, Glen and Paul Lester.  Survivors are sons, Gary Pursley of Cookeville, TN, Lester Pursley of Charlotte, NC, David Pursley of Clarksburg, WV, Kenneth Pursley (Dianne) of California and Charles Pursley (Toot) of Lewisburg, WV, daughter, Sharon Kettner of Charleston, WV, sisters, Ruby Griffey of Renick, WV and Mary Lou Howell (Kenny) of Renick, WV, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Monday, September 9, 2019 at the Morningside Cemetery, Renick, WV with Pastor Don Armstrong officiating.  There will be no visitation.  Online guestbook can be signed at www.morganfh.net.  Arrangements by Morgan Funeral Home, Lewisburg, WV.
