Ruth Rebecca O'Brien

Ruth Rebecca Church O'Brien, 92, of Ronceverte died August 26, 2014 after three years of declining health. She was born September 9, 1921 to Thomas and Alice Church and was preceded in death by her husband, John L. O'Brien Jr. of Ronceverte. Ruth was a faithful Christian and a member of the Lewisburg Church of Christ. Her survivors include children, Sharon Salman (Howard) of the home, Elizabeth Ann of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Tom O'Brien (Carolyn) of Greensboro, NC; brother, Clifford Church (Ethelene) of Fairlea; sister, Doris Campbell of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Also surviving are sister-in-law and brother-in-law Geraldine and Charlie Shaver of Union, WV and sister-in-law, Nancy Church of Fort Springs, WV. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 pm Sunday, Aug. 31 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg and funeral services will be at 11:00 am Monday, September 1 at the Lewisburg Church of Christ with Adam Davis officiating.
