Ruth H. Simmons

Ruth H. Simmons passed away November 6, 2013 at home. Ruth attended college in Montgomery and graduated from Roanoke Business College. She was a secretary for Haynes and Ford law firm for many years and office manager for Greenbrier Cable Company. She was a member of Frankford United Methodist Church. Born September 25, 1915 in Spring Creek, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Barbara Simmons and was also preceded in death by her sisters Margie(infant), Mary Alice Warner and Rubie Gail Gibbs. She is survived by her nephew, William G. Warner; niece Barbara E. "Beth" Mullins; great nephews, Travis and Hugh Mullins; great great nephews, Zack and Thomas Mullins, Dylan Gunter; great-great nieces, Courtney, Kayla and Abigail Mullins; great- great-great niece Alyssa Mullins and numerous cousins. Service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 10, 2013 at Morgan Funeral Home in Lewisburg with Pastor Phil Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in Rosewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 PM prior to the funeral. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Frankford United Methodist Church or Hospice Care Inc., 223 Maplewood Avenue, Lewisburg, WV 24901.
