Sadie Jane Windon

LEWISBURG, WV – Sadie Jane Windon, 86 of Lewisburg, WV passed away Monday, January 29, 2024, at her home. Born October 4, 1937, in Renick, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ottie Ray and Vernie Jane Cochran Morrison.  Sadie was a homemaker. She loved flowers and working in the yard and gardening.  Sadie loved her children and family very much. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Windon, sons, Brian “Buddy” Windon and Danny Windon, daughter, Cathy Hughes, granddaughter, Amber Smith, brothers, Ed, Bud and Archie Morrison, sisters, Audrey Stanley, Louise Morrison, Mary Windon and Stella Reinholt.

Survivors include her son, Larry Windon (Tina), daughter, Sue Smith (Doug), grandchildren, Anthony, Travis, Danielle, Eric and Amy, great grandchildren, Paige, Blake, Colan, Allison, Nash and Bella, brothers, Sam Morrison (Peggy), Jim Morrison (Gloria) and Pete Morrison (Julie), sisters, Nellie Farley (Herman), Nancy Liptrap (Wayne), special friends, Zella Ruff and Mike, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Morgan Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark DeHaven officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service in the Morningside Cemetery, Renick, WV.
